Malmodir Elin
Yes? How can I help you?
Welcome! How can I be of service this time?
Is there anything special in this area?
The dwarven mine east of town is definitely something special, certainly here at the Kvill estuary, several days’ journey from the next mountain range.
Do you think the Holberkians could be behind the orc uprising?
No, certainly not the Holberkians, though it is reasonable to assume there’s someone else behind it. The orcs are behaving unusually disciplined and single-minded.
Do you know the rat-catcher, maybe?
Not too well, because he’s rarely around, spending most of his time in the sewers. But I’d say he’s doing a fine job, there’s hardly been any problems with rats these last few years.
Do you think there’s strange creatures living down in the sewers?
I can’t really imagine. The guild is said to have set up there, the rat-catcher is constantly down there, and every fortnight, the guards sweep the tunnels. Where would any strange creatures find shelter?
Do you know something about the guild and the tradesmaster you could tell us?
They’d love to take over the whole city, but so far, the scum make do with the sewers.
Do you know Tarik at all?
Sure, I don’t know why everybody’s is against him. At least you know who to turn to, if you need to air your grievances. If someone has skeletons in the cupboard, people have a right to know, and Tarik sees they do.
Do you know anything about the judge?
Oh, I was good friends with Bosper for years. Then suddenly he got sick, was laid low for weeks. And afterwards he’d changed completely.
Bosper Jarnug changed? How so?
He fairly insulted a lot of his friends, until they broke off all contact. He isn’t interested in women anymore and… well, it’s not exactly a secret he’s… what I mean is, he’s not interested in men anymore, either! Bosper is poking his nose into everybody’s business, his sentences are arbitrary - he’s changed completely.
Have a nice day then!
That’s enough now, I haven’t got all day. But feel free to come by again!
