SALAMANDER STONE

Old tales tell, the Elves once brought some of the Salamander ore here to have the Salamander Stone forged inside our pit.

DWARVEN PIT

We do not enter there. It’s definitely not forbidden, you understand, but it is a holy place, and the danger of provoking the Lord is great.

Well then, listen: Once, the pit was our home, but now it is a holy site of Ingra, holier even than many a temple. For Ingra Himself has created the pit together with all that it holds. No one - including us Dwarves - shall be tempted to desecrate the halls of the Supreme and Most Ancient of Gods by stealing from Ingra’s legendary hoards of gold, for that blasphemer would be swallowed whole by the mountain. Therefore, the key to the portal is guarded by the priests of this temple.

I get the impression that you wish to enter? I cannot honestly condone this, but Ingra says: Let anybody forge his own luck. Who am I to doubt His wisdom? Well then, take the key, but remember my words!
