Children Playing near the Well
Once upon a time, two mischievous children, Tom and Jerry, were playing in their grandmother's garden. While chasing each other, they stumbled upon an old well hidden behind the bushes.
Tom peered inside and exclaimed, "I bet there's treasure down there!" Jerry scoffed, "Don't be ridiculous. Who would hide treasure in a well?"
Tom was determined to prove his point and convinced Jerry to help him retrieve the treasure. They tied a bucket to a rope and lowered it down into the well, hoping to find something valuable.
But instead of treasure, they found a cranky old frog who was not pleased with his unexpected visitors. He hopped into the bucket and began to berate the children, telling them to leave him alone and mind their own business.
Tom and Jerry were taken aback by the talking frog and couldn't help but burst out laughing. The frog was not amused and demanded to be released immediately.
As they pulled the bucket back up, they realized that the frog was stuck. The children tried to free him, but he was wedged in tight. After much struggling and pulling, they finally managed to free the frog, who promptly leaped out of the bucket and into the nearby pond.
As they sat there catching their breath, Tom and Jerry realized that they had made a new friend. From that day forward, they visited the well often to chat with their froggy friend and bring him snacks.
Their grandmother was puzzled by the sudden disappearance of all her snacks, but the children kept the secret of their new friend, the talking frog, hidden in the well.
