Elimar Harder
“Elimar Harder - Tax Inspector for the Free Trading Town of Riva” it says on a small, decorated plaque by the door.
A city official!
[NAME] grunts.
A middle-aged man opens the door and looks at you questioningly:Yes?
Anything of interest about Riva you could tell us?
There’s the old watchtower at the harbor. Quite a number of exorcists have tried their luck there without any success. There are regular reports of it being haunted.
You need look out for your life these days. There’s a violent band of killers loose in the town, they’ve already murdered a friend of a judge’s and a merchant!
Do you think it possible the Holberkians could be behind the orc uprising?
No, the Holberkians are much too docile to incite the orcs.
Do you know the rat-catcher at all?
No, I’ve only heard of him.
Do you believe there are monsters loose below the city?
No. The guards went through the sewers just recently: everything’s fine down there.
And do you know anything about the guild or the tradesmaster?
I think you’d better ask the guards about that. That’s their territory, really.
Do you know a man named Tarik?
Yes! Listen, you can’t trust that fellow. I can only hope the judge is aware of what sort of person he’s gotten involved with!
Could you tell us a bit about the judge?
He’s keeping order in Riva. I daren’t speculate where we’d be without him. It’s probably his doing that Riva hasn’t been overrun by the orcs yet, as well.
Goodbye, now!
You must excuse me. Goodbye, now!
