Pryshia Lutan
Hello there! How can I help?
Pryshia Lutan, at your service.
What’s there to be seen around the area?
There’s a dwarven mine a bit to the east. They came some years ago, and they’re still digging. - It’s fairly unusual, they normally prefer high mountain ranges, where there’s no shortage of fresh sites once a mine is exhausted.
Any news about the orc wars?
You know, Riva is the Svellt League’s only sea port. Once the city falls, the entire Svellt valley will be orc territory! - It’s strange they haven’t attacked us long ago. Instead, you hear about them moving against Gryphon’s Ford. Well - if they do change their minds, I’m packed and ready.
What do you think about the Holberkians?
The Holberkians are just like the orcs, barely a step above animals. I don’t understand why scum like that is even allowed in town.
What do you know about the town’s rat-catcher?
Well, you hear a lot, but you hardly ever see him. It’s said there are things haunting the sewers that are in thrall to him. He’s a shady one that rat-catcher - you never see him in the daylight. There must be a reason for that!
You’re saying there are unnatural creatures in the sewers?
There’s always talk about strange sightings there. A lot of people have disappeared down the sewers, you know, even a whole squad of guards once. And those aren’t rumors, those are facts! Anything fearing the light of day congregates down there.
What can you say about the pirates?
It’s hard to say who’s worse: the guild or the pirates! At least the pirates aren’t in town!
Do you know anything about the guild or the tradesmaster?
Everybody is talking about them. They say Ui Chearghail and his like have quarters down in the sewers, with the other rats. Pity they haven’t been able to find a catcher for their sort of vermin yet!
Do you know someone called Tarik?
I wouldn’t trust that fellow. For the right amount, he’d rat on his own mother. Praise the Twelve he’s usually holed up in the ‘Harbour Maid’, amongst his own kind!
What do you know about the judge then?
He’s been handing down a lot of strange sentences lately. That can only do damage to his reputation. He’s still highly regarded, but if he keeps that up…
The landlady gives you a friendly nod:
I’ll have to go see to my other guests now.
