A short time later, a heavy-set woman appears and welcomes you:
“Come in and tell me what’s on your mind, good folk.”
“Now then, what is it?”
“We are looking for lodging.”
“I won’t be able to help you there. Is there maybe something else you want?”
“No, not really. That was it.”
“Well, if you think of something else later, you can always come back.”
The blonde fellow, who has listened to your conversation the whole time, takes you back to the door and says good-bye.
“We are looking for a secret exit.”
“It may be possible to arrange something, but that is quite expensive…”
“But we don’t have any money.”
“Tsk tsk - well, if you have no money, you will have to learn to do without a lot of things. Come back when you’ve made some cash.”
“Just how much did you have in mind?”
“Now, if you were able to part with, say, N pieces of gold, I would be able to help you.”
“We haven’t that much.”
“OK, we can just about manage that.”
“Set it off against the favors you still owe Dragan.”
“Aha, so that’s how the cookie crumbles! All right, but that still leaves… N gold Ducats - so, how about it?”
After you have counted out the money on the table, Jandora puts on a satisfied smile:
“I love good-paying customers. All right then. Go to the castle of the knight’s order to the north of town. There, you’ll have to ask for Master Eolan, and tell him you want to sweep the yard, all right?!”
Black Jandora bids you enter:
“Come in and tell me what’s troubling you this time.”
Black Jandora gave us a valuable piece of information - valuable in every sense of the word, for she exacted some heavy payment for it! There seems to be something to those rumors about a secret exit after all: She told us to ask for one Master Eolan at the Castle of the Order of Grey Staves and tell him we want to sweep the yard.
