Schlinger / Engulfer

This huge predatory lizard is indeed a terror for humans and animals. Not only is it able to attack with its claws, fangs, and tail all at the same time, it is also a fast (though not enduring) runner. Their thirst for blood is hardly exaggerated: the engulfer will kill any animal larger than a pig and smaller than an elephant. They're still fairly common in the swamps east of Selem. The lizardmen living there often hunt the beast in groups. You cannot use any part of the animal except for their skin and teeth, but whoever defeats the monster is regarded by the lizardmen as a brave warrior and has a good chance at the next chief election.
